Serving Our Community
We exist to serve people in our community and offer a number of programs including:
- Families participate in Connecting Through Adventures, which so far has included a field trip to the Santa Cruz museum and a children’s photography exhibit.
- We offer a meal and fellowship through our Mountain Hangout once a month.
- Film buffs gather on the 4th Friday to watch and discuss a documentary and enjoy lunch together.
- We are working with a number of organizations, including the Loma Prieta Community Foundation, Firesafe Councils, and the public on fire safety.
Other Annual Events
Besides our annual Christmas and Easter events, our biggest event of the year is the Harvest Festival, usually held on a Saturday in September.
Other events include a Pasta Dinner in late January or early February and an Independence Day Service & Barbeque on a Sunday around July 4th,
Coffee Hour & Pot Luck Lunch
On the third Sunday of every month, we have a pot luck lunch in Whitaker Hall after the regular church service. On other Sundays, we have a coffee hour with snacks and refreshments. Volunteer church members are responsible for setting up the coffee hour and potluck, as well as serving and cleaning up afterwards.
