Trustee Meeting Minutes- 10/2/08

Present: Jim Bowen, Lou McTamaney, Gene Geist, Peggy Johnson, Terry Leary, Mike Mahrle, Wes Smith, and Gerry Alonzo

1) Gerry presented the Treasurer’s report. Pledges are down about $5000 year to date. Terry Leary will check on the status of payments from the website sign-up for the Skyland Run.

General Business:

1) The women’s bathroom remodel has been completed.

2) Jim noted that Joan Law has requested consideration that the stairs by replaced and the attic floor by redone to store items. Jim said he would ask John Thompson for an estimate.

3) Lou said that the area under the nursery could be used for storage. He said it could be dug out, levelled, and a concrete pad or wood floor could be put down. A door could also be installed.

4) There was discussion about getting rid of the wood that will not be used at Harvest Festival.

5) The coffee hour schedule was discussed with the following people volunteering:

6) Jim will possibly be scheduling a site planning meeting next week.

7) Jim will continue working on possible purchase/donation of corner piece of property.

8) Jim will ask Gary Mason to check the water level in the tank every 2 to 3 weeks.

9) The tree on the corner of the church property will be taken down on Thursday, 10/9. The wood will be stacked by the church sign.

10) Jim said that Maire was looking into idea of hiring a janitorial service for special events.
