The meeting was hosted by Fern and was called to order by Jackie at 10:45 a.m.

Ruth gave the devotional reading.

Meeting minutes for March were passed out and read. Mary Ellen moved they be approved and Jackie seconded the motion. March minutes were approved.

Sunshine Cards were signed and sent to Paula Leary, Dorothy Ellis and the Cooke Family.

Fern submitted the Treasurer’s Report. No change in balance from last month. Account balance is $1002.14.

Old Business

• Easter Set up – April 12th. Bring coffee hour items to share. Del will decorate and ask for help if needed. Fern and Jackie will set up for the early service and Jackie will make sure everything is set up for the second service. Mary Ellen, Linda, Ruth and Nancy Jo will help with clean up.

• Cake Making Class – Linda Heyes. Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Whitaker Hall from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and will be $30 per person. Each person needs to bring her own layer cake (2 - 8�? or 9�? round cakes), stand and spatulas.

• Collage Class – Christina Lopp. Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Whitaker Hall from 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and will be $55 per person. Each person should bring a salad or bread. Currently there are five people signed up for the class.

• Wine Tasting – Contact Jackie Seymour. May 8th from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Bring a plate of appetizers to share.10 people currently signed up. Need clean up people – to be discussed at the next meeting.

New Business

• Possible Places to Donate Our Money –Some suggestions were Valley Churches United, Rebele Family Shelter in Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz Mountain fire victims, Indian boy and fans for Whitaker Hall. Decision to be made at the June meeting.

• It was approved to donate $200 to give to the trustees for fans in Whitaker Hall.

• Dish detergent mix up – Need to clearly mark dish soap and dishwasher soap to prevent accidents. Place masking tape with “machine�? written on it for the dishwasher container. Place masking tape with “sink�? written on it for the dish soap container. Jackie has “green�? dishwasher tablets for the dishwasher.

• June meeting to be held at Whitaker Hall.

Next Meeting will be May 5, 2009 and held at Fern’s house. Brenda and Mary Ellen will bring food. Next month’s devotional will be read by Carol Greene.
