Skyland Community Church has been a Christian presence in the mountain community for over 120 years. Our members come from many backgrounds and theologies, and stay because our primary aim is to live God’s unconditional love in our relationships and in our outreach to others. Our foundational scripture is 1 John 4:16, “God is love; those who abide in love abide in God and God abides in them.”
Please join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:30, followed by coffee hour, or a potluck lunch, next door to the church in Whitaker Hall.
Our worship service is relaxed but traditional in style, progressive in theology and welcoming to people of all ages. Children find baskets of art supplies and a time just for them during the service. We hope you will find the worship time deeply inspirational, speaking to the mind and heart from the scriptures about Jesus’ call to us to live in his Kingdom of unconditional love.

Rev. Stephen will retire on June 24 after 27 years of service to Skyland Community Church. After 29 years, Margretta is also retiring.
Please join us in celebrating their service to our Skyland Church community.
