 Way to Wellness Fall 2026

November 7, 9:30am – lunch: “Authentic Connection: An Interactive Communication Workshop”

Skyland Church is kicking off a new season of free wellness workshops focused on personal growth, connection, and purposeful living. Please join us on Saturday, November 7, 2026 from 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM, followed by lunch. This free event (donations appreciated) will take place at Skyland Church in Whitaker Hall.

Jaime Domond from Cups of Yoga will begin our morning with breathwork and seated yoga poses. Then led by Jean Morrison and Mark Schneider, the creators of The Communication Playground, we will be offered ways to build community and practice meaningful connection. Through group discussions, vibrant questions, and hands-on exercises, we will explore communication tools in an emotionally safe, supportive setting.

Following the workshop at 12:30 PM, we will serve a delicious vegetarian lunch catered by the Summit Store.

Please RSVP by clicking on the button below.

Your timely registration helps us plan for a successful event. This Wellness Workshop is open to all and we look forward to seeing you.

Mark Schneider has owned an executive search firm for thirty years and has been studying communication practices for almost as long. He was introduced to Nonviolent Communication (NVC) through a 5-day workshop taught by Jean Morrison at the Esalen Institute over 25 years ago and has been studying, teaching, and benefitting from those principles ever since. For the last three years, he and Jean have offered a monthly three-hour “Communication Playground” focused on NVC and other communication and connection practices.
